About Wedding planIT

We were engaged back in June 2002, and after the initial excitement and nerves of telling people disappeared, our thoughts turned to the extent of the planning that was involved in organising our perfect wedding day.

Once we decided on a date, there seemed to be a million and one items to consider, would we ever find that perfect dress, would we ever agree on the honeymoon location.

We decided on a June wedding in 2004, so we had two years to plan, so our first thought was to look for a reception venue in the Berkshire area. After a weekend of visiting different venues, our options were already being limited by some venues being booked, or not being able to sit the amount of guests for the wedding breakfast.

We both had busy work and social lives, so when it came to planning and sourcing suppliers, we automatically thought of the internet as a source of information. We also had no idea of how much the whole wedding was going to cost us.

We couldn't find any online budgeting tools which could give us what we needed, so we developed a tool that allowed us to track Suppliers, Budget, Deposits etc.

There were sites that gave us great links to wedding suppliers and wedding fayre details and there were sites that allowed us to manage our costs, but they were in different places and hard to manage quickly and easily.

Thankfully we got married without a hitch and now hope to share ours and other peoples experience and knowledge through Wedding planIT to help you have a perfect wedding day.
